Use-case value
Is there a bounded task or decision where faster synthesis, assistance or prediction would materially improve the outcome?

A structured way to decide whether your organisation has a useful AI opportunity, what must be true around it and which first move is responsible.
Why this check exists
AI creates pressure to act before the organisation has agreed what the technology should improve. The AI Readiness Check exists to separate genuine operating value from tool enthusiasm. It looks beyond model access to the workflow, information, controls and people that determine whether an AI capability can survive real use.
Whether to pursue an AI initiative now, prepare the organisation first, or focus investment somewhere more valuable.
Is this the right door?
You do not need all of these signals. One consequential uncertainty is enough reason to examine the decision more carefully.
Leadership knows AI matters but has not identified a defensible first use case.
Teams are experimenting with tools, but the experiments are disconnected from operating priorities.
A vendor or internal team is proposing an AI solution and you need to test the surrounding assumptions.
You need a practical starting point that accounts for data, risk, adoption and ownership—not only technical feasibility.
What the check examines
The check looks at the operating conditions around the decision—not just the technology being considered.
Is there a bounded task or decision where faster synthesis, assistance or prediction would materially improve the outcome?
Is the required context available, trustworthy, permissioned and current enough for the intended use?
What could go wrong, how consequential would it be, and where must review, evidence or reversal remain available?
Who will own the workflow, judge the output, support adoption and improve the capability after a pilot?
What you leave with
The first check is designed to improve the next move. It does not pretend to replace the deeper work that may follow.
A plain-language view of whether the opportunity is ready to test, needs preparation or should be deprioritised.
A narrower statement of the task, user, evidence, constraints and outcome that a responsible pilot would need.
A proportionate recommendation: clarify the workflow, repair the information layer, run a bounded pilot or stop chasing the wrong opportunity.
What this is not
Bring the context you have. Zoe will help you frame the question, surface the assumptions and decide the most useful next move.
